Strawberry Season

It's strawberry season! Just a reminder, in case you needed one.

These delicious berries go quickly, only about three weeks from start to finish.
So when Becky said she wanted to go picking strawberries, I was glad she was up enough to go.
Even though there's been not enough sun, they were big and red.
Easy pickins' for us beginners.

She didn't last long, being a little light headed and all...

But these will surely put a smile on her face and a delicious taste in her mouth later on. She got 15 quarts of jam / syrup for $30.00. Can't beat that price.

Oh, yummy!! I haven't been strawberry picking in a couple of years and the weather this year has not been very cooperative. I hope these are going in her freezer, as these caps do not seal the jars. I'll bet everyone has strawberry jam and toast in the morning for breakfast. Glad Becky was up to going with you. Hope she is stronger every day.

Miller could be on the cover of some famous strawberry magazine. What a handsome young man with his bowl of berries and warm New England sweater.
