All Aboard!
Boston has a wonderful trail that can be followed throughout the city to important, historical buildings, cemeteries and other noteworthy points of interest.
On the northern end of the trail is the world's oldest, commissioned war ship, The U.S.S. Constitution.
The H.M.S. Victory, is older, but is dry-docked in England.
It was a beautiful day to sail!
Going below deck was steep and narrow.
We learned many things about the ship, such as how cooking was done,
how the cannons are fired,
how she earned the nickname of "Old Ironsides,"
how many men could really sleep below deck,
how to pump in the water,
and, where to find the lifeboats!
What a good looking crew!
