Service to Brazil

I share this with my sons (as well as a nephew and a brother-in-law)who have given a portion of their lives to serve and help the people of Brazil (for what will be in July a total of ten years). This is at Arlington National Cemetery. Tanner, Hunter, Porter; Derek and Zachary Hutchins

Called to Serve

Porter's papers have been in for around two weeks, and his call arrived today!

Dear Elder Schenewark,
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Brazil Campinas mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 24 months. You should report to the Brazil Missionary Training Center on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Portuguese language.

Bruce Hill, 55, and Kathleen Ann Bullock Hill, four children, Medicine Hat 5th Ward, Medicine Hat Alberta Stake: Brazil Campinas Mission, succeeding President Carlos S. Perrotti and Sister Lilian Perrotti. Brother Hill serves as a marriage and family relations teacher and is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, Varsity Scout leader, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Brazil Recife Mission. Attorney, Hill & Hill Law Office. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Leo Bynum Hill and Rose Marie Nelson Hill.

Sister Hill serves as a marriage and family relations teacher and is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Primary and Young Women president, ward missionary and Cub Scout leader. Born in Seattle to Gerald Alvin Bullock and Sylvia Lee Jensen Bullock.

So proud of my best friend and beloved brother Hunter on his call to the BRAZIL VITÓRIA MISSION!!! Prepare yourself BRAZIL! The Hunter's Coming!!!

"When I had put my mission papers in and was waiting for my call, I did all I could to have the Spirit with me, and I prayed fervently for an answer. Because it was very important to me, that I would know where I was called to serve was the right place. Because if it was somewhere that I didn't want to go, I wanted to have that spiritual confirmation to know that I should. So I tried to prepare. and when it came, I opened it up, all by myself. And when I did, I felt the Spirit so strong, and I can feel it every time just thinking about it. That Vitoria was and is where I needed to serve. It was an amazing spiritual experience."
