Concord

It can be exhausting being married to Mr. Brown Sign. Sometimes our treks are long, and it might be a little HOT outside!

But I knew for sure this is one place he'd want to go back to during his visit.

He use to bring Tanner here, seemed like about once a month, when he was small.

Now he wanted to share it with the other boys, especially Sawyer,

who holds a soft spot in his Dad's heart.

The Old North Bridge is a sacred spot to Mr. Brown Sign.

"...here once the embattled farmers stood, and fired the shot heard round the world."

There were a lot of boys and men involved in the Revolutionary War. I think Mr. Brown Sign ponders on that.

But mostly he's grateful for those men who provided our family with those precious freedoms we take for granted too often.

It is awesome that Mr BSAA is exposing his family to all the history in this great country.

What a great trip! When he retires down the road some day, he could be a docent at a museum or other wonderful places he has taken his children through the years. A wonderful education for your boys.

Roger drove past the brown sign for Andersonville (the civil war prison) yesterday! He said it was too far out of the way to be able to stop, but next trip, he'll make it a priority. Can you imagine?!!?

What a great post Amy! The tribute to those who fought (especially given that you have five sons) -- and that your boys love these wonderful authors!
