I know this photo doesn't elicit warm fuzzy feelings, or any ooohh's and aaahh's, but these are my hiking boots I got from my mother in fifth grade. Lets just say that they were really big for a very long time, but over the years my foot has gradually grown into them. I love them. They're the only shoes right now that don't make my feet hurt at the end of a long day. I didn't love them when I got them, but I'm sure glad I have them now. Way to go Mom! What have been your best birthday presents?

maybe those boots don't elicit warm, fuzzy feelings...but those halloween pictures to my right sure do. (hee, hee)
Hmmm...my favorite birthday present...the picture of Christ and the infant from Steve is in my top 3. My batman pogo stick at 9yrs. of age is also in my top 3. that thing ROCKED! (and pounced)
Amy, I am LOVING those Halloween pictures from 1994. Don't you think Jarrod's colleagues at Marshall would love to see them too?
Love that you still have these and that you've grown into them.
I'm going to have to agree with the other comments, those Little Bo Peep Pics and the BEST!
I too love the Bo Peep pictures.
Best birthday present... the first hand-made card from the kids is at the top of the list.
My favorite b-day present: My grandma sent me a card and a $1.00 every year...until she got too many grandkids 100+ to send cards to. She passed away in August. She had long since stopped sending everyone cards. Her eyesight was too poor. She was 94 years old.
That's a HARD question! I don't know if I can come up with my favorite right now... Do you STILL have that Little Bo Peep dress? Can I reveal that THAT dress was YOUR Junior Prom dress?
:-)
Love that it's still floating around!
My favorite birthday present ever -- was the present I gave to myself of going race car driving! It was AWESOME! And yes, great costumes!
I'm amazed that you still have those shoes. Anything I had in fifth grade would have been long gone. When I was 12 or 13, I was in NH for the summer. My shoes hurt my feet, so I went barefoot most of the time. When it was time to come home and get shoes and clothes for the beginning of school, we went to the shoe store. Only one I could go to because of my large, narrow feet. I went from an 8 1/2 to a 10 over the summer. Talk about being depressed because of my foot size--must have been all the cow flaps I walked in over the summer (Smile). They finally stopped at 10 1/2 and are now a 3A width. Used to be a 4A width. Today, can only buy shoes in a store in Brockton that carries my size. Can't do Payless or any of those stores. Sigh! Glad you can still wear yours.
