Lose the Training Wheels

Dr. Schenewark and his collegeague spent a lot of time and effort in organizing a summer camp that teaches disabled children to ride a bike, called Lose the Training Wheels.

Grants and donations all came through, as Hunter so eloquently demonstrates their good looking tee.

Hunter was able to work with our sweet friend Nathan!

This is a good photo of the modified bike and roller on the back wheel.

The boys had to stay by each participant as they had no balance when they began.

As they got better, the volunteers had to jog then run to keep up.

Tanner was joined by Evan for a day!

Everyone would take turns on this tandem bicycle, used to help them increase their leg speed, and get used to going faster.

It was such a success, they're coming back!

And, if it all works out, can be used for Porter's Eagle Scout project.
