There's a new puppy in town!
He stopped by to introduce himself.
Miller thought he could keep him.
And asked for us to find him a name. One with good German stock, a manly sort of name for a German Shepherd puppy. Any suggestions?

SO sweet. I love puppies. That was very nice of her to give the collar to Ranger. I'm thinking on the name...
The two names I thought of right away were Cooper or Schenewark. Schenewark is a strong German name.
Miller does look awfully adorable with that puppy in his arms!
I like Dieter.
;)
The boys' names (in order) in German are: Müller, Säge, Mitarbeiten, Portier, Jäger, Gerber und Förster (Ranger). Jäger would be spelled Jaeger (pronounced YAGER with a long A). All the ä's are spelled 'ae' in English. I had a boyfriend once in Germany was Dieter *smile* or you can try Wolfgang, Johann, August, Axel, Hans, Franz, etc. Oooh hold on a sec, here's another list with names (Have fun and keep us posted!) http://german.about.com/library/blname_Boys.htm
You need a name that the dog will answer to as well. Ann, those names are something else--especially Mitarbeiten!! By the time you called the dog that, he would be on the next street! My brother had a shepard whose name was Dante. Good luck with the names. Looks like a lot of fun trying to pick one out. You could name him Brauneis and call him "Braunie" (Smile)
Miller needs a little puppy. He is just so cute smiling with it.
What a sweet little scene! How did you ever send the puppy home?
We have a little wiener (schnitzel) dog, second cousin twice removed to your German friend.
The name Gunther comes to mind, keeps with your family tradition of names :)
Sweet! Did the puppy get a name?
