Granbury Pirates Varsity Basketball

The Granbury Pirates competed in the high school basketball playoffs for the third time in the last four seasons, but fell to Fort Worth Southwest 60-37 in the bi-district matchup on February 23, 2016, at North Crowley High School.

The GHS boys finished fourth in District 8-5A to earn the post-season berth.

The varsity squad included Keelen Ellison, Ethan Gonzalez, Michael Horne, Dalton Kennington, Brendan King, Jordan King, Eric Kirchner, Hayden Kostman, Kade Phillips, Porter Schenewark, Cade Timmons, and Chevie Van Patten.

Head coach David Breazeale was assisted by Steve Weeks, Stephen Hodge, Jason Shahan, and athletic trainer Andy Rankin.
