I'm THANKFUL for Tanner. Happy Birthday Tanner! It's hard to believe you're 17 years old! 
We thought it would be fun to do a little party for him, since he's found a nice group of kids to hang out with.
Twenty, actually. A little more than we were expecting, but it was a good time. Those kids laughed SOOOO hard! Funny games, a squishy room and a lot of bodies made it hard for anyone to want to leave.
One of Tanner's favorite presents from his grandparents: It says, "Mitt." (In case you were wondering what celebrities do with all their gifts.)

What a difference a year makes--last year he was so unhappy and this year he is celebrating his 17th birthday with a bunch of nice friends. So happy for him, and a very Happy Birthday with lots of love from Aunt Shirley and Uncle David. We love you, Tanner. Love the new sweatshirt, too! Glad everyone had such a fun time at your birthday party.

Tanner: You’re getting so old and wise, we’ll soon come to you for even more sound advice. Congratulations on 17 wonderful years, just two more and we’ll be able to greet you as Elder Schenewark. It’s been a few years since there was and Elder Schenewark in the Mission Field.
