Used Cars

This is Jarrod's car. A 1990 Toyota Celica.
It has 208,000 miles, and dropped a transmission in the church parking lot last week.

This is a 1982 GMC truck, with 80,000 miles for $1,000. Probably could get it for $500.

This is a 2001 Volkswagon Jetta with 80,000 miles for $2,800.

There weren't a lot of options in the newspaper for cars available for sale. We looked in NC, OH, MA, WV and every where in between. It came down to who you know, their contacts, and asking the right people.

Which car did Jarrod buy, and did he make the right choice?

He bought the Jetta, it was a great bargain, and he just isn't a truck kind of guy.

(Can you tell I'm trying to be chipper? This has been a very painful process! I hate money!)

As Napoleon Dynamite would say: “Sweet”
Dad has a fine new ride! We had to log on this morning to review the recipe for Egg in the Hole!

Okay, if you had bought that truck, I would have been worried. And you probably would have set the record for the number of transmissions dropped in the same parking lot by the same family.
(whew!)

Love the new ride! 4 doors is much easier to climb into!

Glad you got the Jetta...Truck was $1,000 you'd spend more in gas every week than it is worth.but sorry you had to buy a new one, Ben and I hate car stress!

Good luck with the Jetta, and I hope it lasts you as long and takes as good care of you as the Celica. My Camry is a 1998 and has 172,500 miles on it and running fine. I hope it continues. And yes, it is much easier to get into a 4-door car than a 2-door.

It's a beautiful car. I really hope that you won't have to put too much money into it as you go along. I'm crossing my fingers for you. It was a blessing! :)

I would still have one, but our family grew too big way back.
Maybe it's time to get another one?
I hate money too, Amy.
