I've unpacked. But there are a few boxes in the garage that are mostly framed pictures that I'm not hanging. I've been meaning to get them moved. I began working on this project yesterday, and found this! Yuck! Puffy brown paper the movers used to wrap my pictures apparently makes for great nesting material. It's only been 14 degrees here this past month. I guess the little critters were getting cold as well. It's not that I'm afraid of little critters, it's just when they are found and make that mad dash, I do the little critter dance. I hate doing the dance. I'm soooo glad I moved the sleeping bags, boxes of books, and other interesting items that might have their little critter marks on them if they hadn't been moved!Thursday, January 22, 2009

AAHHH. That gave me goosebumps. I am not afraid of them either, I just don't like them!
Time to put some stuff out there to get rid of them. I have a pest control company who comes in every three months, checks the bait boxes in the cellar and replaces them. However, my tenant had a little mouse in her house a couple of weeks ago. She bought a couple of traps and the mouse finally succumbed. Pesky, the cat, thought he was a wonderful toy! She hasn't seen any since. Living next to the cemetery, we are probably getting the little field mice in here and they can squeeze through the smallest hole. Hopefully we've seen the last of them. The pest control people come back in February and I'll have to tell them about it--maybe need more bait traps. Check with your local hardware store and see what they have that won't harm your dog but will get rid of the rodent factor. That picture shows serious chewing!!
YUCK!! don't like the little guys...time to do something about them!!
CREEPY! I am to say that we are mice FREE...(i think). Good luck with that one. Atleast they are in your garage and not your house, right?
I have a great recipe... tastes like chicken. LOL
We've had a big mouse problem. We saw them in our garage so Steve put some traps out. He put 2 out...he caught 2. He put 2 more out...he caught 2 more. He put 2 more out and caught 2 more!! Haven't seen any in the garage since and our traps are empty. Zoe, our little dog, was in the garage the other day and couldn't resist the peanut butter on the trap and got her nose spanked by the trap. Then we saw some mice in the back yard so we put 4 traps out and caught mice in about 20 minutes. We put 2 more out and caught 2 mice. The other day I heard some chewing going on inside my walls but after catching all those outside I haven't heard him since. I have the pest control guys come as well...about every 4 months. Good Luck. (I'd like to see you do the critter dance!)
loathe rodents. have too many of them here on the farm...i'm all too familiar with the chewing marks!
goodluck with the critter dance :)
funny!
I have just the solution...
[devilish grin]
We had that problem in Houston. I had this one mouse that was aa Genius. After i placed the Mouse traps out he would always get the food out without getting causght. I eventually killed him with the Poison. Fun!
Ewww! I be doing the critter dance plus more. I've never seen a mouse in our garage and I hope I never do. Good thing you have some boys around.
Bro Bach says it's ALLIGATORS! One followed you home from Texas! Uncle Aaron's Boston Terrier might be able to get rid of those little critters! did you know there is actually a "Rat Terrier" out there... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rat_Terrier
