My visitors are gone. It's been a fun week, one that ended far too prematurely. But a resounding theme has permeated my home, and that's the realization of the sacrifice my parents have made to visit me. I'm not talking about the inconveniences of arranging with Salt Lake an absence from their temple responsibilities, or the rush and bustle in cleaning and packing before you leave on a trip. Recently Jarrod's sisters also made sacrifices of the same magnitude in order to ensure we could all be together in Texas for Christmas.
I am humbled by their willingness to do this for me, and experienced a very small portion of the love our Heavenly Father must have for us in order to send his Son down to earth and sacrifice His life for ours.
Elder Ballard said "Sacrifice is a demonstration of pure love. The degree of our love for the Lord, for the gospel, and for our fellowman can be measured by what we are willing to sacrifice for them. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ manifested the supreme example of this love. His life and ministry established a pattern for us to follow. His divine mission was culminated in a supreme act of love as He allowed His life to be sacrificed for us. Having power over life and death, He chose to submit himself to pain, ridicule, and suffering, and offered His life as a ransom for our sins. Because of His love, He suffered both body and spirit to a degree beyond our comprehension and took upon Himself our sins if we repent. Through His personal sacrifice, He provided a way for us to have our sins forgiven and, through Him, to find our way back into the presence of our Heavenly Father."

That is beautiful. I know you must have had a fabulous time with your mother. It is so important for your kids to know her! What a great woman.
It's always hard to say goodbye, I hate that part of my visits. I wish you were closer. I loved this quote today. What good family you have - on both sides. :)
you ARE loved!
xoxo
you deserve it!
great picture, I haven't seen that one before.
Hey Amy Jo, we have felt alone here also in West Virginia and I can understand your feelings. But I know that God has sent our family here to meet people like you to stand by your side to carry out his cause. It is extremely a pleasure and Honor to be by the side of a wonderful family such as yours. We love you guys and somehow I feel as if we were meant to be here with you. I know that the lord has a Plan for us in West Virginia and i want you to know that we love ya and we will be your family here. It is my Tesimony to you that Heavenly Father has a plan for our families and that we have strong families that live and love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that he has sent us here to be a beacon for him unto not only each other but to the families in these wards. It amazes me to see how just your presence in our Stake makes us feel at home. Amy Jo, I want you to know that I saw you on Sunday when you waved to me at Church and I did not to get to respond back as I should have but thank you for doing that. We love your family and we want you to know that.

Thanks for making the sacrifice to come to Texas. The time was too short.
What a nice comment from Brother Lewis!!
Brother Lewis this is the "downstairs maid", who thanks you for your friendship to our daughter and family. You'll have fun together.
Thanks.
Priscilla
