Having a Sense of Humor

Church was cancelled today due to the possibility of black ice. My family and I are snuggled in our house, tight quarters for six rambunctious boys, a big dog, and keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. I've determined that humor will always help me have a better day.

We have snow here, so I stayed home because David said the roads were very slippery. I have a 15-mile drive from home to church. I was sad that I couldn't go because I've missed three weeks at my church. The 3rd of January, we had a pipe burst in the attic of the church. Things are getting fixed and church was held last Sunday--it snowed and I stayed home. Today, the same thing. So I just relaxed, and watched a cute movie called "Parent Trap". It made me laugh. The snow has stopped, Uncle David came home and shoveled and cleaned off my car. I have a dentist appointment in the morning. Glad you are all snuggled. My kitty snuggled with me for awhile. She likes to be picked up now (never did before) and purrs like crazy. I love it. She nuzzled right into my neck. When she's had enough snuggling, she lets me know that she wants to get down. right now she is asleep next to the warm radiator. Smart kitty!

Did you watch Jenny's funny link the other day? It was of other people laughing. It made me laugh. If you go to www.missedashow.com you can type in american idol and watch this years auditions...i NEVER tire of bad idol auditions. the kids and i were laughing and laughing last night. it was great to do it together!!!! we had a foot of snow today.

That was some of Elder Wirthlin's last bits of advise last conf! Learn to laugh! I think of his talk every day... and try to emulate it.

I did see that Laughter video. I loved the laugh of the little baby--they are so much fun to hear laugh. Many a time something will strike me and I'll start laughing and can't stop, and then it becomes contagious. Love when that happens. It was a great video.
