The Pumpkin House

Every halloween season, the house at 748 Beech Street in Kenova, West Virginia is transformed into the Great Pumpkin House.

The owner, Ric Griffith and hundreds of other volunteers carve thousands of pumpkins for display at his home.

This year they had approximately 3,030 pumpkins on display.

So if you want a little Halloween fun, be sure to visit us next year, it's only twenty minutes away, and so worth the visit. One of the best displays was his wall of pumpkins choreographed to music, the pumpkins that lit up were done so when the instrument that was carved on them was playing.

The Pumpkin house was great. YOu have to like the picture of four of the boys (with Porter and Cooper in their pajamas [Cooper with his Bathrobe]). I was glad we could all go as a family.

That's a really cool place! Do they use electric lights or real candles to light the pumpkins? I see some cool carvings.

WOWZERS! it's not always easy to get a good picture of nightime pumpkins... LOVE that carved Christ to the right of Hunter's head and the crab next to Cooper in his... bathrobe? Heehee you can't even tell, thanks for sharing! If anyone would like a PDF file on LDS Patterns carving Pumpkins, bleep me a note and I can email it... you can practice on Watermelons, etc. until next Halloween! Thanks for the GREAT snapshot!
