Bad Bass Dad

A poignant, even tragic, but true story is told of Charles Francis Adams, the son of President John Adams. Adams was an accomplished political figure who served as a U.S. diplomat to Great Britain. An entry in his diary reads: “Went fishing with my son today—a day wasted.”

On the same day, his son, Brook, made this entry in a diary of his own, “Went fishing with my father—the most wonderful day of my life.”
