Letter #60

So, I hath madeth a decision, that instead of reading my other emails first, I will try to send out this email, to not run out of time.

This week was capped off this morning by an intense game of soccer in which I my or may not have (more likely may not) made a bicycle goal. But, we'll never know for sure.

Update on our favorite cross-dresser, he came to church yesterday with his mom, coincidentally on the day that the professor missed and I was asked to give the class. What topic would happen to fall on such an eventful day. Eternal marriage. Needless to say, an interesting class, with interesting participation, and interesting participants.  Lots of laughs from the back row companion.

We had a special on the spot "let's minister like Christ" day. In other words, we sat down on a river bank and started talking to the group of fishermen. The whole come, follow me and I'll make you fishers of men thing. Anyway, at some point in our lesson I ended up with a fishing pole in my hands. Much to the chagrin of Papai Jarrod, it is a known fact that I am not much of a fisher. Nevertheless, after this fact was shared with the fisherman who put the pole in my hand, much to the surprise, I was the fisher of the lesson, catching two fish, one of which had golden teeth the size of Michael Strahan's.

One of the things that I have been looking at this week was the endless stream of people that seeming fall into our path from ever corner of life. This week I found a scripture that answered some of my
questions.

“But the Lord knoweth all things from the beginning; wherefore, he prepareth a way to accomplish all his works among the children of men; for behold, he hath all power unto the fulfilling of all his words. And thus it is. Amen.”

It's amazing the work that happens in front of us. Before we even reach the people, they are being prepared and touched. I know that this happens because we are doing the work of the Lord.

Until next week, much love

Elder Michael Laconelli
