With All Our Love

Dear Tanner and Hunter,

"When our hearts are filled with the love of God, we become “kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving.” I thought this a beautiful quote by President Uchtdorf (The Merciful Obtain Mercy). Perhaps it hit home this week as spring has arrived in Texas. The grasses have lost their winter browns, and are now vivid green. The trees are beginning to bud, and the lovely horse farm we pass everyday has four new baby horses out grazing with their herd.

Aunt Becky has had her hands filled with two children in the hospital with high fevers and respiratory issues (flu), especially the baby. Keep them in your prayers! The staff at Dartmouth has been especially kind to her to get both her children in the same room, such a tender mercy for her.

The boys have had baseball and soccer practices and baseball games cancelled because of all the rain we've received this week. The only enjoyment they've gotten from the gloomy weather is watching the lake levels rise when we go over the bridge. Reminds me of watching the Ohio river rise when we'd ride over the Proctorville bridge.

Sawyer had his Odyssey of the Mind competition this weekend, rescheduled from a snowy Saturday a few weeks ago. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but knew he would be competing against other teams from other schools, presenting their solution to a previously given problem, as well as competing in a spontaneous problem. They left before the awards were handed out, so we'll find out tomorrow how his team did.

But while they were in the Fort Worth area, you know your father. He couldn't pass up stops to a few sights, one including a huge Cabelas.

He and Sawyer had a fun day together, and got home in time for dinner.

I know this week's missive is short, but we talked for too long ;-) We do love you, and have a hard time letting you go. I suppose we'll always want to parent you along your way, but need to remember our job has changed from teaching to more advising. So we're suggesting you two get a bit more sleep, focus on your studies, and enjoy your time together.

Love,

Mom

P.S. Love all the pictures! You've kept me busy even though my camera is still out of commission. Thank you!
