Science projects are NOT my favorite projects.
I strongly encourage the boys to do their projects during the summer.
Porter's experiment involved testing different types of basketballs (rubber, composite, leather...) and their bounce rebound on different types of courts (wood, cement, sport court...), from two different drop heights.
He scored Superior at his school, at the district level, and then at the regional level in Portsmouth, Ohio (beautiful murals!).
So he earned a ticket to Columbus, Ohio...
When he pulls out the bow tie, he's down to business!
While Porter was meeting with judges, Tanner was with Jarrod seeing the sights!
Of course there just happened to be a marathon in progress...
And CNN was in town for Obama...
Ohio State's own Jesse Owens...
And Ohio State's Buckeye!
He saw so many sights he ran out of energy!
Porter finally finished, so they went to their favorite eatery, Schmidts!
Their cream puffs are delicious!
Porter was given an Excellent mark at the state compeition.
Congratulations Porter!

Excellent Porter, I would agree. What a fine job and wonderful results. Schmidt’s, yummy Sis Bach and I went there on Bro. Schenewark’s recommendation a few years ago. The little German girl was so happy, and no complaints from me either.
Love the bowties! Congrats Porter!!!
Congratulations on a job well done! I'm jealous that I didn't get to have some of those cream puffs--Yum! I'll bet that Sausage Haus Restaurant was awesome, too.
