Keeping the Sabbath Day Wonderful!

I know we're suppose to keep the Sabbath Day holy, but can it also be wonderful? I had dear friends who live two hours away show up for my morning church services to surprise us! What a great way to lift up hands that are hanging.

Having my boys play paper aiplanes with Uncle Steve. Even though the rules are tough, and you have to keep refolding the same paper, it is a great competition! Of course he won, but suffer the little children to come to him.
Playing Uncle Steve's LEGO game. These are the mailboxes they had 3 minutes to build, other competitions included his shed, and a swing set.
And then there were more visitors! Mom and Dad were speaking in Maine, and drove two hours out of their way to visit Becky. In the midst of her affliction, she was comforted.

Dad was obviously a little tired. We never guessed one of his granddaughters would be brave enough to fix his hair while he was sleeping. Thank you all for your tender mercies!

None of our extended family think twice about keeping the Sabbath. We are all on our own with that one. Our family is sometimes left out and singled out in the activities on the Sabbath. It is so special to have a whole family who follows that simple, but special commandment.

Love family togetherness! Sundays can be long, so I think it is great that you make them special.
