I came home yesterday to find these bugs all over my washroom and kitchen floors, crawling out of a heater vent! It was more than I could handle. Sawyer, Miller and I were doing the stomp. Then I had mashed bugs all over the floors. I was needing to mop anyway. Last night I discovered hoardes of them had moved to my clean laundry baskets. This is Miller's. Not so clean any more. I confess. I'm partial to spring flowers more than spring bugs!Friday, April 3, 2009
Spring has Sprung! or Why is the Floor Moving?

I'd call your landlord and have him get an exterminator in there. You could have termites. I'm not sure what they really look like, but "save" some of these bugs to show the pest control people. I really don't think I'd want those things in my house, that's for sure. Even if your kids like bugs, these you can do without.
EWWWW!!!!
You're making me all shivery ...and just GROSS!
(I'm sorry)
That gave me the chills. Any idea what they are??
Good luck with that!
ugh...sorry. NOT my favorite part of spring. hopefully you can have your landlord handle this problem.
I think we should save those poor bugs…. and go FISHING!!!!! When the May Fly’s hatch, the trout in Montana are biting. It’s time to go fishing.
I must confess it’s been a day or two since I looked at the Bloggerbunnies, what fun news, Popcorn, Tiger Woods Jr., Raspberry Jam (yummy) and May Fly’s hatching.
See All Y’all real soon ya hear, I got my Hillbilly Hotdog menu in the car and I’m reviewing it at the red lights, really…
Bro. B.
AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! What are these?
I think termites. Maybe you could have a contest to see who could guess the right answer. Another thought. Can you use the vaccuum to clean out the vent..??
ouch! I'm guessing Swarmer termites?! www.pest-free.net/Swarmer%20Termites.jpg
Not good. I conquer on the call to the old Landlord.
Uhhh, Gross.I totally sympathize.
The bugs with wings are usually the reproductive ones getting ready to colonize. They could be just ants but also termites. Check for the mud tunnels coming up the walls outside your walls. Fun stuff.
Yuck! We have had a few here and there in our home, but not in swarms like that. We need to treat out house soon. $$$$
