Letter #23

Just not too much exciting happening, relatively speaking, so I'll try to keep it short.

First and foremost, happy birthday to me, what a wonderful person I might become one day far in the future. One year closer to that day.

We helped with a move. The family lived on the second story so Elder Orteney was like, hey stay there, I'll throw the boxes to you out the window. It's just clothes....first three boxes, light, fluffy, snagged and stacked in the truck. Fourth box...shoes...ouch, may have broken a finger (#19) and yet box remained intact, nothing broken (inside the box, see finger reference above) but, buddy taped the finger with a plastic popsicle stick and some tape like ma mommy taught me and we all good.

Transfers are this week but we still don't know what's going in, hopefully finding out today. Had a member give us a ride in his Sedex van (it's like the Brazilian UPS) and we rode in the back and it's not QUITE as fun as I thought it'd be, mostly because the three of us were sweating profusely, but it makes the letter still.

And highlight. We were in a scetchy-ish neighborhood, with a member and we passed a bar right when this dude apparently had a filthy comeback in pool and he walks out banging on his chest yelling stuff like can't be touched can't be stopped, nobody can beat me. We stopped for a sec to watch and he saw us and was like what? you think you can beat me?? and the member, who apparently knew of my talents with the cue was like "I bet the gringo takes you." The dude laughed and laughed and was like, "I know who you guys are, yous the missionararies, the Mormons. I got taught a couple years ago but never went to church. If the gringo beats me, I'll be in the church with my entire family tomorrow."

Long, super exciting story, short....We had two new investigators in church, a humbled snooker champ and his confused, but very happy, wife.

Okay, I'll tell it. I won, 8 balls to 4. Cultivate the talents, you never know when you'll use them lol

But, good week, another happy birthday to me, we had cake and cake and cake passed to us all week, I think the total was somewhere around 14. Pictures of my favorite included, courtesy of family Tota.

And oh course the birthday bite

Love you, good week to you all
