These mosaics are from the 14 stations of the cross in St. Mary's Cathedral of the Basilica, Covington, Kentucky. Created in Venice, Italy as reproductions of paintings by Max Schmalzl, each has 70-80,000 porcelain ceramic tiles.
Jesus is sentenced to death
Jesus heaves the cross onto his shoulder
First fall of Jesus
Jesus meets his mother
Simon of Cyrene carries the cross
Veronica dries Jesus' face
Second fall of Jesus
Jesus comforts the weeping women
Third fall of Jesus
Jesus is robbed of his clothes
Jesus is nailed to the cross
Jesus dies on the cross
Jesus is taken from the cross
Jesus is entombed
If I could add one more, I would make the 15th station, a mosaic depicting the resurrection.
For that is the true Easter story.

Beautiful mosaics! I'm in agreement with you for the 15th station because that is the true story of Easter.
