For the Children

I woke up today being grateful I live in a country where my children know no fear. Where we are relatively safe, enjoy copious freedoms, and are together.
There is a video on facebook that details the horrible crimes committed against children in Africa, and the man that's behind the crimes. It's a compelling story, and I felt moved to participate. Because my children and I can enjoy being safe.

I'm grateful for the peace of our lives here, too. I was feeling especially grateful yesterday for the armed forces who are out risking their lives to protect our freedoms here.

Just looking at your daughter sleeping is so peaceful. I agree that we do live in a fairly safe country. It's too bad that other countries couldn't follow our example. There'll always be rough situations in this world we are in--there was before Christ was born, and there will never be total peace. I'm always so proud of our servicemen who protect us from harm.
