Cooper's Talk
Last week we were reading in First Nephi about murmuring. This means to whine and complain about something you are asked to do. Nephi's brothers were asked to go and get the records. They murmured, saying it was too hard. Nephi was willing to go without complaining. Because he obeyed Heavenly Father told Nephi he would be favored of the Lord. To be favored means he would be blessed. I know when I'm asked to do something by my parents it's much better if i obey without complaining. Murmuring only chases away the Spirit of our home. When we have the Spirit in our home we are better able to choose the right in everything we are asked to do and in how we act and in how we treat others.

You are a very wise young man, Cooper. By doing what your parents ask you to do not only makes them happy but shows that you have obeyed them by doing the chore or whatever it is they wanted you to do. I'm very proud of you.
I think it's so wise to post their talks here, then you always have it saved. Seems like your kids speak often and they have great things to say.
Grant is speaking tomorrow.
