We have been taught that we should build our reserves over a period of time, that we should not go into debt to do so, that we should buy those things we use and use them on a rotation basis, that we should use common sense in preparing ourselves to be independent and self-reliant. We are deeply concerned about the welfare of our people and recognize the potential privation and suffering that will exist if each person and family does not accept the word of the Lord when he said, 'Prepare every needful thing.' I visited the Columbus, Ohio cannery and filled over 200 cans of product for others. I brought home about 20. I've canned 40 quarts of (free) tomatoes. Yet I feel so inadequate in providing for my family. May the tides of trouble hold off a little longer for people like me.

And me.
That's a lot of canning--and you were helping other. Never feel inadequate for what you do for your family. You are an amazing Mom and wife (fine Mom and fine wife, as your dear Jarrod would say)
You share the boys, we’ll share the goodies. Very little chocolate in the house, it doesn’t last long. But we do have lots of tuna, somehow Buster is the only one that likes that.
You're a great woman! I know HF is watching over you and your family. xoxo
