Kindergarten students who read 100 books on their reading log were invited to a trophy ceremony. This is Sawyer's teacher, Mrs. Flynn.

Sawyer actually had 433 books on his reading log.
Reading became a daily competition.
Then reading became a daily drudgery.
He finished strong, however, and is grateful for this award.

Miller, who's wearing fluff on his face, is happy to carry home the trophy.

433? WOW! That's quite impressive. (but not surprising)
Congratulations Sawyer! Were there other students who read as much as you?
In KINDERGARTEN??!!
I think my kids logged only books I had read TO them in kindergarten.
Well, blow me over. That's an accomplishment.
xo
Congratulations, Sawyer, on a job well done!!
