Celebrate!

Miller and I volunteered for the day.

We were in charge of blowing up a LOT of balloons.

It was more like play!

He filled up the balloons with helium.

I tied them and added the string.

This was for our county chapter of American Cancer Society
and their Relay for Life.

It's one ALL night celebration, for surviving cancer, and getting to have another birthday.
This is one of the teams that was there.

This is another: The Colorful Cuties.
Each team member has to pay/earn $100 to attend.

Introducing Team Life Saver

Sims Valley High School, by far the largest group, raised $20,000 on their own in memory of a student that passed away this month, and five more struggling.

Meet my friends.
They're a bit crazy.
I wasn't on their team, just helping.

My favorite team, Fairland's National Honor Society.
14 kids, paid $1,400, earned by selling pottery candles
all year long!

One team had a jail and bail,
and Tanner was scooped up.
And bailed.
All by girls ;-)

The first lap is for Survivors of Cancer.
The second lap is for Caregivers.
It is touching, as some still have difficulty making the lap.
It was an honor to serve,
in memory of Aunt Chrissy,
in celebration of Dad,
and in hope of Uncle David.

Thank you for the beautiful post and for your comments at the end. Made me cry, of course!
