Our community, in addition to basketball and baseball leagues, tried something new this year and offered wrestling in order to build their interest in the sport for high school competition. This is a new sport for our family. We've never lived in an area where wrestling was supported by a high school, never mind a community program for kids. We went because we thought it was free, and would be fun to try (on a temporary basis). Wow. Introducing Slammin' Sawyer Schenewark, after two practices boasting an impressive 14-0 smackdown record.

Way to go, Sawyer. Looks like you are a natural for wrestling. Of course, you've probably had plenty of practice wrestling with your brothers. Keep up the good work. Love, Aunt Shirley
Sawyer IS a natural! He just stands there and takes the kid down and I LOVE that look on his face as he turns around ~ Precious! Here's a guy from BYU without the usual cauliflower ears... http://newsnet.byu.edu/story.cfm/71031 I've been looking all morning for Bro Bach's High school yearbook. Besides football, he was also very good at... wrestling!

I'm not surprise of Sawyers ability. Sounds like a unique opportunity for him. Did any of the other Schenewark boys participated? I anticipate what you might being seeing more around your house. : )
