I've always wanted to visit Hawaii for one reason, to go to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. Miller was born on this day, and it's a bitter sweet reminder for me. Ground zero isn't so much about remembering those that died, but why they died.
Wow! I never put 2 and 2 together. I too would love to visit Hawaii for that very reason. I can't believe he is 2!! Happy birthday Miller! Is he feeling better? Is he finally eating something again? I love the banner at the top - did Ann do that for you?
Happy Birthday, Miller. What a wonderful group of pictures at the beginning of this blog. He is such a sweet boy. I was in Hawaii in 1970 with a friend of mine from New York. One of the places on our itinerary was the Arizona Memorial. We were on a boat that rode around it but we never were on the memorial. It is something to see, and the oil still floats around the ship. Another place to visit is the Punch Bowl which is the World War II cemetery. You cannot imagine the feeling that you have when you see this--you just have to catch your breath. Amazing. And for Tom, we were at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Wonderful place to go, and the entertainment at night was awesome. Worth the visit.

In the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness, but the number of prayers we answer may be of even greater importance. Let us open our eyes and see the heavy hearts, notice the loneliness and despair; let us feel the silent prayers of others around us, and let us be an instrument in the hands of the Lord to answer those prayers. Absolutely, I am not that good. Good, but not the best.
Would you email me your address? Thank you.
I've always wanted to visit Hawaii. Not just for that reason, but it's one of them. Good to remember.
I would love to go to HI to go to the macademia farms, I would also like to visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Gorgeous picture! Happy birthday to the Miller! My Samantha turned two last month and it is just a great age. We are having a blast with her.
