Dear Children,
Happy Halloween! I've seen a few photos from you - very creative! Miss B is the only one here who continues to dress - this year as an adorable Snow White. She does have that dark hair, red lips, and creamy skin look going on for her. She's spending the day after Halloween at a friend's birthday party, as they had a half day of school.
The weather has turned cold and rainy this week, twenty degrees below the average day time temperature of 70. I had ice on my window this morning! I do like the cold weather, and have enjoyed fire in the grate four days in a row. I've tried to not neglect the dog in regards to walking him, but the cold weather does not make me want to go out.
Sawyer officially begins his basketball season today, and sprained his ankle last night goofing around at the youth trick or treat activity. He says it doesn't hurt but his ankle looks like he has a golf ball on top of his ankle bone. He's made the varsity team - yeah for his hard work. He has the highest standing vertical jump on the team at 32".
He was trying to dunk the ball on an outside standard, and landed on the wheel of the basketball hoop base. He has a bad sprained ankle - lots of swelling and color. Good thing he has a little side job while he recuperates on the couch: cleaning tennis shoes. Actually, he stands at the kitchen sink and scrubs. He works very hard, chargers between $5 and $20 depending on how dirty and who they belong to.
Miller has his last regular season baseball game tonight, and a one day tournament after that. He's very excited to start basketball. He seems taller to me - we'll have to measure -
Out of time - but not love - Mom
