What a Skype! You kept us up far too late. Our bodies are dragging this morning, including our eye lids, but we all needed those laughs. You guys obviously ate too much Easter candy! And I don't care how much your desk lights glare in your eyes. No glasses! Your eyes are all I have between me and the truth.
Another obvious, that we're all concerned over your grandfather's hospitalization. I was and am still ready to hop on the next plane, but have been put on hold. Can't stand not being there in person to drill the docs. When I spoke with him, he was trying to make me laugh.
Cooper ate some kind of meat, we think, where the antibiotics were strong enough ingrained, to cause him to have some kind of allergic reaction. He suffered with a full body case of hives all weekend long. Hunter, I know you can relate! We were given a second television set, so Cooper spent all weekend cleaning up the garage, and creating his "man cave." The t.v. is out there, they use the bench seat we took out of the van, and found out the antennae works out there, picking up two channels. One such channel is CBS so there is great hope the NCAA championship game will be available tonight.
Sawyer jammed his finger over a week ago, and now it's looking like it might be broken. I'll probably bring him in today. He pitched again Tuesday and Friday evenings. They don't count pitches here, but so far the coach has pulled him after three innings. Dad took some pictures at his practice:
Miller hit his first home run in Texas. He asked me before the game if I thought he could hit one, and I told him, "Absolutely!" So imagine my surprise when he got up to the plate and did just that. And when he saw how far he had hit it, he put on the after burners and booked it around the plate, trying so hard to beat the throw home. He did not slide over the plate. I was happy for him. He plays a mean first, and every other inning they move him to second.
Porter had his only track meet before districts. There is a new coach, and he cancelled all the rest of the meets, unknown as to why. I am disappointed in the track program here. Fairland's vision was so much higher! His pole vault broke mid air. Not what a mother wants to hear! There were nine schools at the meet, and he got fifth place, not too shabby, scoring second highest number of points for his team. He gets points for being the most creative this year in decorating his eggs:
Breyer, after two last weekend, had one more Easter egg hunt, here in the subdivision. The lady in the Easter bunny costume will give her and me nightmares for years, but she did find one of the golden eggs, and got to pick out a pink drink cup which she has not put down. Miller and Sawyer also found golden eggs, and won a $10 gift card to Chick-fil-A.
Your father took the other boys to the priesthood session of general conference. The BBQ beforehand included steak tips and three of my apple pies. Texas does do somethings right ;-)
We loved general conference! Porter told me that Twitter trending yesterday showed #LDSConference (60K) was more popular than #Easter (30K). One of my favorite talks was by Wilford Andersen. "You can be taught to dance, but you have to hear the music. Sometimes in our homes, we successfully teach the dance steps, but are not as successful in helping our family members to hear the music...Dance steps are learned with the mind but music is heard with the heart." Your father always helps me hear the music ;-)
We love you boys dearly. Keep smiling, enjoy your fleeting time together more, and remember to call!
Love,
Mom

Love all the eggs, but a little worried about Bro. S. and his snack choices. I'll try chewing a hanger tonight as I trust his judgement, maybe it needs BBQ sauce.
That's a good luck, Uncle J.
