With All Our Love

Dear Tanner and Hunter,

We're not sure how we feel about Hunter not having a phone. We feel like we don't hear from you all week! So, fill us in! Tanner, thanks for the pictures you send. They brighten our day.

Hunter, your comment, "I've been practicing my foxtrot footwork walking to class, and it's been fine, albeit with a few stares during promenade. But the cha cha? this could get interesting!" has generated a lot of talk, you're making all your fans smile, wanting more. Pictures from your dance class would be wonderful!

"Tanner, how are you doing? I miss you!"

There were a  few newsworthy articles I found interesting this week. The loose rhinos from the zoo made me smile ("Three rhinos were caught on camera making a great escape. Video shows the three rhinos sneaking past a sleeping security guard and through an open gate at a safari park in Tel Aviv. Another zookeeper can be seen running after them, but he couldn’t catch up. The escape was short-lived, as the rhinos hit a police roadblock about 10 minutes later.)

How about this one, while you're out hiking? "Many of us harbor dreams of running across an original Winchester Model 1873 rifle in the rafters of a dusty attic or tucked in the dark corner of old barn or just maybe leaning against a tree when we are out hunting. Recently employees of the National Park Service found a 132-year-old Winchester Model 1873 rifle leaning against a gnarled juniper tree in a remote part of the sprawling Great Basin National Park in Nevada."

And my favorite new study by BYU: When recess takes place before kids sit down to eat – instead of after - fruit and vegetable consumption increases by 54%.."

It was fun to see you and your cousin out and about on the town. Do you introduce him as your cousin? Or the reason you love him beyond his title? It's an interesting thing to think about how you can introduce your friends.

Thought you would enjoy seeing yourself at Porter's third birthday party...can't believe he's 17 tomorrow!

Breyer's been bonding with your father this week. I think it all started with sharing chocolate teddy grahams at a basketball game, and he was showing her how to eat the feet first, then the ears, then the belly button. He's most entertaining. She goes to him every evening to read books, she runs to greet him when he comes home, and loves to talk to him about animals in Africa, especially the meer cat.

Sawyer had another game Friday night, and we have more great pictures thanks to the lady with the camera, forthcoming. Miller had his first game Saturday. Those pictures will be up as well. Just know that he made the first seven baskets of the game, only one or two weren't made from rebounds. He shares well. He brings the ball down for the team. He's the man. There are a few differences in his league that are interesting. The players wear different colored wrist bands so they know who they're guarding (Miller wore red and guarded the boy with the red band). The other weird rule is that before the second quarter begins, each team gets to pick one player from the opposing team to sit on the bench. Miller was chosen. I told him to get use to sitting, And, even though he's in first grade he's playing with second graders. He's that good ;-)

I taught my lesson today on the Savior. The girls and I talked a lot about what the Savior has done for us (great talk by Oaks). I challenged them to think of what the Savior is doing for them, daily. To look for His tender mercies he provides. And I challenge you to do so as well. Make Him the Living Christ.

Be safe, be strong,

Love,

Mom

Love that you got the picture of your religion teacher after the devotional!
