Happy Easter!

Dear Tanner,

I sat down to write you a letter tonight, and was reminded by your father that your preparation day had been changed to Wednesday. So, this puts a kink in my Sunday night routine ;-) I thought, just in case you changed the day again, I should leave something in your inbox tonight.

Breyer has been excited that Easter was drawing closer this week. She's been thinking of eggs and candy all week. If you asked her what she wanted in the eggs, she would have said, "Candy, gum, and diamonds!" Your jaw might have dropped as far as ours did! We finally figured out that she likes the gemstones we stuck in the cement stepping stones we just made in cub scouts, and calls them diamonds.

Larry was able to take her to the community easter egg hunt Saturday. I was at my last seminary meeting, Sawyer and Miller were at baseball, Cooper was at baseball and then the Duncans, and Dad was dropping off and picking up all morning. He had to have his schedule written out so he didn't forget anyone.

But Larry knows how to have a good time, and filled in for us this day. He told us later that she would only pick up the pink easter eggs, which were scattered far and wide, and had a tough time convincing her that the other eggs would have something inside just as good. I think he finally convinced her when he told her she could share with Miller.

Your father wanted to know if you got one of those large Brazilian easter eggs you got last year?

While we're on the subject of Breyer and Easter, I should show you her easter dress. It was a beautiful lemon yellow. I had put Porter in charge of pictures this morning, and had to laugh at the out-of-place hairbow, and face. But that's how we roll over here! She looked beautiful, and loved having a "yellow day."

We missed you today. All during Easter dinner preparation I thought of you and your love for food, and your joy at eating good things. Just know that you were missed, and thought of! And since you weren't here to eat your share, we took care of that for you ;-)

Love,

Mom

I thought about you last night as I was writing my letter and wondered if you were going to write on schedule or wait until Tuesday night. It must have been a little disconcerting not to write the whole epistle last night!!

Breyer is so cute, hairbow akimbo or otherwise.
