Happy Father's Day

 From Uncle Aaron's journal -  Father's Day

Yesterday in church I got tapped to play…the piano in primary. When I wasn't needed in primary to play piano, I wandered the hallways…peeking through the looking glass in the classroom doors. I found my father and noticed he was having difficulty maintaining consciousness. Having earlier received a bag of cookies from the Young Women as a Father's Day gift, I walked in, tapped him on the shoulder and handed him the bag of cookies so that he could ingest a quick sugar fix and remain alert through the end of the class. Later at home, he related that they were having a lesson on tithing, and that he had given his cookies, the YW had given him, to a little nursery aged boy whose father was having a hard time keeping him occupied. Receiving my bag of cookies, my father made the following announcement to the men assembled in his class: ‘Brethren, I want you to know that my testimony of tithing has been strengthened. Earlier I gave away three cookies, and a [wandering] servant of the Lord has just now given me four.’
