Mind Games!

My boys do many things together...

Lots of football...

A little bit of javelin throwing, and archery...

A lot of baseball and pickle...

A lot of games!

But playing chess without looking?
This is a first!
Hunter checked a chess book out of the library, and wanted to practice holding the game in his head, and using chess notation to move his pieces. He's practiced a few times, and has gotten amazingly adept!

CRAZY!
He's honing some serious mental capabilities...

Now that is impressive, even for Hunter!

I will always remember the first time Hunter asked me to play chess, he must have been all of 5 and I really had to pay attention. Needless to say I was a bit older than 5 at the time.

Amazing! He'll have to have a game with his Uncle Aaron next time you head to New England.

You guys always have the best games, but chess in your head is way above me. I can't do it looking!
