The Cub Scouts and I visited our local VFW...such a welcoming and patriotic group of individuals.
We spent some time reviewing how to properly care for and fold the flag...
...But spent the majority of the time outside, learning how to properly perform outdoor flag ceremonies.
Attaching the flag, catching the flag, raising and lowering the flag...
It was cold! So cold. Yet I'm excited to announce that patriotism is alive and well with these twenty 9 year old boys.
Not one would relinquish their spot in line for a chance to raise the American flag.
And this wasn't a quick up and down.
This meant listening to the entire National Anthem, each flag raising, and saluting
TEN TIMES!
Cub Scouts are my favorite!

They are truly committed. God Bless America and all she stands for, and for the Boy Scouts who learn so much from their leaders. They, too, will be leaders some day.
Good for them. Way to though it out men.
