Mr. Brown Sign has been going to scout camp since 1999...
13 summers in a row!
This year Cooper and Porter went to a camp they hadn't been to before, Woodland Trails Scout Reservation near Dayton, Ohio
And there were new activities that had never been done before, such as The Slackline.
I love sending the boys off to camp just for this reason, to try new things and feel better about yourself because of your accomplishments.
Cooper caught his first official fish at scout camp...
Jarrod is the master of finding new creatures to share!
Cooper spent a week getting to know and learning how to ride this horse, Reese.
Porter had a climbing class, and fell in love with rappelling.
He conquered the chimney...
He mastered belaying...
He had the quickest time down the tower...
He came home a confident boy!
Jarrod spent time watching over other boys...
Finding artistic moments with this camera...
Getting boys to and in the class...
Encouraging boys during team competitions...
And keeping boys safe during the heatwave and subsequent storms.
Camp ended with Porter receiving the art award.
Until next year!
