New Hampshire State Capitol

Ten things you should see in the Capitol of New Hampshire, the oldest state house in which the legislature still occupies its original chambers since 1819.

1. Daniel Webster, the world's greatest orator.

2. There's a replica of the Liberty Bell.

This was a great opportunity to explain its place in history, and be reminded that it was last rung at the funeral of John Marshall, Supreme Court Justice, and founder of Marshall University.

3. Lots of great pictures.
Mister Washington is one of my heroes.

4. An actual phone booth! and phone books.

Try explaining that to the kids!

5. A replica of the Sawyer.

Just joking.

The Declaration of Independence

6. The Chamber of the House

7. The Chamber of the Senate

8. The Governor's Office, and table.

9. The hall of flags.

Every regiment in New Hampshire and their flags, and a list of the battles they were engaged. Blood, smoke, and tears included, since 1862.

10. And my personal favorite, the wall where every Presidential candidate is photographed during the New Hampshire primaries.
