Under Pressure Science Project

Hunter's science project involved building about eight different bridges, or trusses, out of popsicle sticks, and then determining which design was strongest under weight and wind.

He's moving on!
He's soooo excited (not).
But we're proud of his efforts.

We did this for an Engineering Class at Ricks. Much of the grade was based on how strong it was.

Much glue was used, high loads were seen. The intereisntg part was the modeling of the structure prior to breaking. Perfection was if your model agree with the actual. Bro. B. is so old this was all done prior to computers in the classroom.... how old is that.

So out of 8 bridges, which one held up? Reminds me of the old Webelos Scout Engineering Activity badge! :)
