Camp Joseph

Camping in Sharon, Vermont, the birthplace of Joseph Smith, had to be one of my favorite things we did. I haven't been here for seven years!

The all-girl hike was by far my favorite activity!

Around smore time I'm looking a little smored out and ready to snooze!

Sawyer was the energizer bunny, and I finally figured out what was recharging his batteries: the candy stash from his girl cousins!

Porter helping Uncle Roger set up a canopy tent. He worked for hours on those poles, even during a thunder storm!

Cooper loved the pond and pond life, sharing an undeveloped tadpole.

The boys loved swimming in the river, lots of currents.

When the fish was caught, Porter cleaned it and even cooked it up.

Tanner loved getting in a throw with Grampy.

The cooking tent with my twin!

Camping is hard! Looking like I'm all smored out here too.

More fuel for the energizer bunny: smore overload.

Hunter trying maple syrup soda.
(Two thumbs down!)

Mr. Brown Sign and Uncle Roger visiting his country store from yester years.

One of the highlights of the camping trip was Mitchell receiving the Priesthood from this amazing group of men.

We'll be back!

Fenway Park

"Take me out to the ball game,
take me out to the game!
Buy me some soda and Fenway frank,
I don't care if it empties my bank
for it's standing room only for us,
if they won't leave it's shame!

For it's one, two, three seats for us
at the old, ballgame!"

Thanks Uncles Ben and Aaron for taking Porter, it was "the best night" of his life.

Cape Cod

We had a family reunion near the Cape at Buzzards Bay.
How could we not drive over to the real deal when we were so close?

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the jetty near Cape Cod's Canal.
(Did you know Cape Cod has a canal?)

The color of the day!
(Mr. Brown Sign would want you to know that Pilgrims and others got tired of going around the horn, so eventually a canal was constructed right through the bottom of the horn to make traveling easier.)

The group who hiked the jetty.

Lingering for a quiet moment.

Hoping for that Christmas card shot! Brother, Ben, you guys make looking good easy.

Can you tell the water is freezing?

One of the few beaches that has such beautiful beach grass so fully developed.
Cape Cod is relaxation to the soul.

Revere Beach Sand Festival

This kind of stuff is the real reason my boys and Mr. Brown Sign visit the ocean. They LOVE finding little critters, dead or alive, in the sand of low tide.

But Aunt Rachael and her bevy of girls found a new reason to visit the beach.

"Find your matching swim suit and win!"
Just joking.

A sand sculpting contest.
This is the artists' combined entry that's done on Monday and Tuesday.

The contest ends at the end of the day, so he has quite a bit of carving left to do, but very impressive.

The boys' favorite entry.

Lovely beach texture. And design!

Miller brave enough to get the feet wet.

Sawyer listening to beach talk.

Cooper's sandball.

Porter on a borrowed boogey board.

Hunter carving out his hide away.

Tanner working on the tan.

Cooper's sand sculpting entry.

Mr. Brown Sign: two thumbs up.
