It's been hot in my kitchen lately! I never turn on my ceiling fans, unlike my husband, but I've been pulling that cord all day. It wasn't until 10:30 p.m., while sweeping, that I heard a click, and realized my oven had been on since 6:30 a.m! I had turned it on low to keep the french toast toasty warm, and never turned it off. Good grief! Why can't I make this mistake in the winter?Saturday, August 22, 2009

It's been hot in my kitchen lately! I never turn on my ceiling fans, unlike my husband, but I've been pulling that cord all day. Love that picture...Lay on that cool kitchen floor...it might help. It's been over 90 all week with 90 % humidity.

Oh my goodness--I hope it wasn't a gas stove!! That would have been very dangerous. Glad you are o.k. and realized what you had done. I was in Maine on Cabbage Island enjoying a wonderful feast of fish chowder, lobster, clams, corn, onion, and blueberry cake. I brought home the potato because I was just too full. Had two lobsters of my own and then the legs and bodies of 4 other lobsters that one couple didn't want to bother eating. I was in my glory and loved every morsel!!
I've done that, but I have turned on the air conditioner! OUCH! Expensive mistake. Glad you figured it out.
Bummer. But funny. :) Hope it doesn't cost too much...
Amen to Mommom's comment! So glad Father in Heaven has a good cents of humour enough to give you the cents to turn it off when you finally realized it was on *hot tamales!* You are pretty centsational my dear. And if you enjoy nonCents, go ahead and try that trick in the winter! <3 Love you!
