Five Granbury Pirate basketball players recently received District 5-5A honors following the 2021-22 season.
Leading the Granbury High School contingent were sophomore Isaiah Trejo as Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player and sophomore Kensington Colston as the Newcomer of the Year.
On the first team were junior True Hughes and senior Sawyer Schenewark on the first team. Second-team pick was senior Payton Plash.
Schenewark was also a first-team choice last season.
In addition to Granbury, District 5-5A is composed of Aledo, Azle, Brewer, Wichita Falls, and Wichita Falls Rider.
