With All My Love

Dear Children,

Just a quick note, as my newly established Saturday morning letter writing time will not be available tomorrow. I'm off to Boston to visit my parents, on a direct flight directly after work tonight. JetBlue is the last of the day, at the right price, and works perfectly with my schedule. I'm excited to go to the northeast where the high of 70 is a far distant memory. We're still reaching very high nineties if not one hundred degrees.

The routine is getting a bit smoother, the schedules becoming more routine. Not much in the way of goings on except this Monday was Labor Day, and we spent the whole day working at home. I took apart the master bedroom, and cleaned every nook and cranny, except Sawyer's domain. Got the bookcase put back together, after Nora's summer perusal, realizing I'd rather have the mess with my children and grandchildren than a neat, orderly environment. For now it's picked up, waiting for visitors. Speaking of visitors heard that the TannMarie gang has been sick this week. Hoping all is well with them.

Bro. Bach's mother passed away, and Hunter was able to go to Montana to support them at this time. I know you all wished you could have gone, myself included. But remember them in your prayers as they are and will continue to be an integral part of our family.

Your cousin Brady was baptized while his sister came home for Sarah Jane's wedding. Sarah Jane was married. Kayla became engaged. It was a busy, busy weekend in New England. Hopefully our family will have a little bit more representation at the next wedding in SLC this month.

After the Boston trip I'll be working on the guest room, and packing up the belongings and boxes left behind by the college boys. We've dropped off a lot of bags at the donation box.

Sawyer is still busy juggling basketball and baseball practice obligations. He's still driving the beast to seminary. And I have him playing the piano when I can. He made an outstanding blackberry pie we enjoyed for two days. Even for breakfast. He is also still making yummy sourdough loaves.

Miller appears to be handling middle school. I hope. He's reached the mom's not interfering with homework stage, regardless of the emails that pour in on a daily basis. Not that I've had to interfere. It's just hard to let go, as my children learn to be responsible. He only has baseball practice one a week, no games yet, and will thoroughly enjoy starting school athletics next year. And he practices the piano almost every day.

Breyer has made several comments about not enjoying some of her classmates, or her new session of gymnastics teacher. But she's learning to adjust and move on. We've spoken frequently about serving others. She plays the piano as well, and is enjoying the phone with two girlfriends. Her best friend is Wagner.

Your father has worked hard this week on multiple projects. He's fully invested in the happiness of his family, and as such makes decisions that will always better our life. I love him dearly.

Missing you all,

Mom
