BOYS DOUBLES TENNIS PAIR WINS DISTRICT TITLE

A boys doubles tennis pair from Granbury High School is advancing to regional competition after winning the event at the District 5-5A district tournament on April 4-5, 2019, at Southern Oaks Golf & Tennis Club in Burleson.

GHS seniors Payton Freeman and Cooper Schenewark earned an opening bye in the district contest.  The boys defeated Mansfield Timberview (6-0, 6-0), Burleson (6-0, 6-2), and Burleson Centennial (6-7, 6-3, 6-3) to earn the district title.

The Region I-5A tournament is April 17-18 at the McLeod Tennis Center at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
