With Not So Much Love

Dear Tanner,

I hope you enjoyed all your mail. Wish I was enjoying mine!

I appreciate you letting me know I did the FAFSA wrong. Truly. No sense in getting money for the current school year, when you're obviously not in school. But really, that email let me know you were on the computer today, and definitely alive.

Obviously you must have used your computer time to check on student financial aid, your BYU application, housing, much more important things than writing your mother.

The only thing that might have made me feel a teensy weensy bit better is if you could have sent me a note explaining that you wouldn't be writing a letter, so I didn't check your "sent" folder fifty times today.

Oh well. Have a wonderful week. Hopefully you're not so busy!

Love,

Mom

P.S. Just joking with you. Obviously I missed your letter!
