Princess Poetry

"Whatever comes," she said,
"cannot alter one thing.
If I am a princess in rags and tatters,
I can be a princess inside.
It would be very easy to be a princess if I were
dressed in cloth of gold, but it is a great
deal more of a triumph to be one all the
time when no one knows it."

Princess Poetry

"...it has nothing to do with what you look like, or what you have. It has only to do with what you think of, and what you do..."

Princess Sugar and Spice

Walking around New York City streets, with a hungry princess, led us into Pip's Place.
Being gluten free was just a bonus ;-)

Little did we know the owners were waiting for their 10,000th customer!

How fun to make new friends, hear about business success (only two months), and be given $25 for our next visit.

Taking a Bite out of the Big Apple

We were invited to Manhattan for a wedding!

If you're visiting New York City, this is the way to travel!

A driver who knows where to go, with everyone together!

The sights and sounds of the city are so different...

(Bed bug signs and commercials everywhere!)

And everything is so much larger!

Miller was our official ambassador, and welcomed every one with his princely waves.

Even wedding rehearsals are fun when you arrive in style ;-)

The Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest, directly across from Central Park is breathtaking, inside and out.

Judging from the wedding party's shoes, I am SO untrendy!

I later found THIS and agree!

The parents of the groom!

Can Sawyer walk any faster?

The Cavatappo Grill hosted the rehearsal dinner.

I found their delivery bicycle charming.

Limo riding makes boys hungry!

Miller is all ready, wondering when and where the food will appear!

Five course dinners can be intimidating ;-)

But hunting for rats made the boys feel like boys again.

Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Spontaneous games of pickle...

Lego creations like penguins...

Fun for the whole family board games...

Escape from the heat sleep parties...

Boring enough to pester the dog...

Challenging electric power tree trimmers to a game of golf...

Pretending to sleep but sneaking in a book or two...

Goodbye Gathering

Time is running out!
Tanner will be leaving for Brazil soooo soon!

Tanner was given a "farewell"...

His sweet host, Charlotte Mazon...

The door opened and closed all evening, and seats were hard to find!

The Princess was very busy moving...

...and being moved!

Cooper fare-thee-welled with his buddy, Ethan...

My buddy Nathan and I adieu'ed all night!

Miller in part-y-ing mode '-)

The children knew how to leave...in style!

The men ciao-ed...

The girls bon voyaged...

The hasta la vista happened in the hall...

Godspeed!
