Early in my law enforcement training the importance of "listening" was stressed. This not only included what was broadcast over the police radio or what was said by the public, but also doing such things as leaving your window down when driving, and turning off the music. Sometimes things could be heard, such as a cry for help or the squeal of a tire, that if not heard and acted upon, would make the response time too late to be of assistance.
How much more valuable is this training in light of our "plugged in" population to the wide variety of elecronic devices. I need to ask more, "How well do I listen to my children?" "What am I 'plugged' into that impairs my ability to hear clearly? What was Cooper really angry over?

Good question. Did he write this on his own or was this something he had to write in school for his teacher? If something was bothering him, why didn't he come to you or to his Dad? You are such a great Mom and so intuitive, that it's hard to figure out. I'm sure you'll come up with the right answer. Love you.
Great thought to ponder on...
Hmm, maybe I need to write some sentences too!
