Cooper's Easter Talk
"Yesterday I watched a video called "The Lamb of God." This movie showed the suffering Jesus went through in the Garden of Gethsemane. It showed Jesus suffering on the cross and dying. Jesus sacrificed his life for all of us. I appreciate this gift he gave us. We can live again, like Jesus if we choose the right. I'm thankful life doesn't stop when we die. I'm thankful we can think about this today on Easter Sunday."

Male Cake Bake
Noah's father was out of town this year, so he was at our house again to create his popcorn bucket masterpiece!
Cooper is excited about the new baseball season, and created Fenway Park, green wall and all!
Sawyer went with the cub scout theme of camping, and created a cozy fire scene!
Miller got all the leftovers and happily made a really large "M"!
The roadkill possum was the favorite cake of the night!
Sawyer a little sad he brought home no medal :-(
Just joking.
He was waiting to cut the cakes!

Girls' Weekend!
There is nothing like a good weekend with the girls! All of us need a break sometime, and given the circumstances lately we were ready to take off and have a weekend away.
It was especially fun because I had a daughter to bring along - another girl after being surrounded by seven boys!
We went to visit our friend Kathy in Cincinnati. We met her volunteering in the Scholastic book fair that comes to Huntington twice each year. Kathy is also that lovely lady who spent a weeks vacation in January working and painting my dear friend Susan's house.
We met at the Scholastic warehouse where she works.
She gave us the grand tour. Very impressive place. I would love to be there later this month for their warehouse book sale, but don't think it is going to happen this year!
After dinner it was nice to sit and relax. Play with the baby. Breyer is a joy to be around.
Kathy is the biggest Cubs fan I have ever met!
We had a great time counting Cubs watches and Cubs shirts!
She is also a HUGE fan of Dopey from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
Breyer has officially had her first girls weekend!
Thanks, Kathy, for being such an awesome hostess. The homemade milkshakes, the laughs, & the yummy breakfast made this the most relaxing and fun girls weekend I have had in a long time!
