I got this contraption from a dear friend. I might admit I rolled my eyes just a tad. I'm not one to have a kitchen full of contraptions with a single purpose which, as explained on the box and in the pamphlet, is to chop onions into mini squares.

But as you can see, I've repented of my eye rolling. It also did tomatoes and cilantro beautifully. Instant salsa. Definitely worthy of my recommendation. Anything that helps make boy food this quickly deserves a rave review: 5 stars, two thumbs up, and 7 burps.

Oh yummy!! I could use some nice salsa right now with melted cheese and corn chips--send some our way!
mmmmmm salsa, that is my favorite food group.
Try this recipe with your new toy...
Tom’s Salsa - 1 Gallon
2 lbs Roma Tomatoes – small dice
1 bunch Fresh Cilantro
12 Jalepenos – seeded/deveined (hold veins to the side) – small dice
12 Tomatillos – small dice
¼ cup Fresh Lime Juice
2 tsp Kosher Salt
1 White Onion – small dice
8-10 cloves – Fresh Garlic – small dice
Mix all ingredients in a large non-reactive (stainless steel or glass) bowl. Adjust heat by adding small-diced Jalepeno veins into the salsa. Add additional salt if needed.
Cover and let sit in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours or overnight,
Should stay good for 10 days.
your snack looks delicious. You're a great cook. Nothing better than home made salsa. I've thought about getting one of those things before, maybe I'll try it out.
You've always been "hip" and now you've got squares!
So cool.
Mmmmmm! That Salsa looks good! Give the recipe.
FUN! Repentence is good, we looking forward to sampling some soon, we're bringing home home-canned cherries, peaches, beats, pickles and jam. Say a prayer that none of the glass jars break in our luggage. We miss the smiling faces and look forward to seeing ya'll soon. Love you!
