Memorial Day

Some photos from Mr. Brown Sign's recent trip to Washington D.C. are more poignant in light of remembering Memorial Day.

Porter's Pride

The end-of-the-school-year ceremonies have included Porter being inducted into the Junior National Honor Society.

And foregoing the certificates, his middle school switched to pins on a lanyard.

From participation in cross country, track, yearbook, quiz bowl, and success in GPA and student-of-the-week, he was "pinned" many times.

Congratulations, Porter!

We're proud of your hard work.

A Select Man

Aaron is being sworn in as the newest member of the board of selectmen, Northborough, Massachusetts.

I loved the quote from Dad in the paper when he said, "The board meetings will never be boring again."

Congratulations, Aaron!

You have my vote.

My host, extraordinary.

Thank you for the perfect escape.

Sincerely,

Amy Jo

Motherhood

"Motherhood is more than bearing children, though it is certainly that. It is the essence of who we are as women. It defines our very identity, our divine stature and nature, and the unique traits our Father gave us." Sheri Dew

These beautiful hats are for cancer patients to cover their heads, made by my mother.

This is my mother's prayer bush.
Every time she says a prayer for my brother Ben, she ties on a new piece of fabric.
These noble characteristics of my mother define motherhood for me.
It's not about baking bread or washing clothes,
emptying the dishwasher or attending school functions.
It's about service, and the love that emanates from her heart.

My aunt Shirley also shares these same qualities of motherhood.
I was so grateful we could connect over mother's day weekend
so her great niece could feel of her heritage.
Aunt Shirley tends to the needs of others as they age like no other.

Jennifer's husband flew me out for mother's day weekend.
What a treat to spend it with some of the best mothers on earth.
